1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using HowHeight, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What HowHeight provides

HowHeight is a web-based visual comparison tool that lets users place people, animals, objects, and fantasy references on one shared scale, save boards, export results, and create shareable links. Certain features may be limited on free plans and expanded on paid plans.

3. Accounts and access

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the account information you provide.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for protecting your sign-in credentials.
• We may suspend or limit access if we detect abuse, fraud, scraping, or security risks.

4. Your boards, exports, and share links

• You keep ownership of the board names, measurements, and content you create.
• You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display that content only as needed to operate the service.
• Share links are intended for public or semi-public viewing by people you send them to. Do not include sensitive personal information in shared board labels.
• If you submit PNG files or similar materials for limited custom asset conversion support, you confirm that you have the right to submit those materials.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use HowHeight to break the law, infringe third-party rights, distribute malicious code, bypass plan limitations, probe or overload the service, scrape data at abusive volumes, or interfere with the experience of other users.

6. Paid plans, billing, and Creem

• Paid plans are billed through Creem, our billing and payment provider for subscriptions and related checkout flows.
• By purchasing a paid plan, you authorize Creem to charge your selected payment method according to the plan terms shown at checkout.
• Subscriptions may renew automatically unless you cancel before the next billing date.
• Plan prices, taxes, and billing terms may change in the future, but changes will not apply retroactively to a billing period that has already started.
• We do not store full payment card details. Billing data is handled through Creem and its payment partners.

7. Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel a subscription at any time through the Creem customer portal or billing emails. Unless required by law or stated otherwise in our refund policy, subscription fees are generally non-refundable after the billing period begins.

8. Intellectual property

The HowHeight service, software, branding, design, interface, and non-user content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the product to you.

9. Product disclaimers

• HowHeight is designed for visual reference, comparison, and illustration. It is not a medical, scientific, legal, or engineering measurement service.
• Some asset heights or lengths may be estimated, curated from public references, or normalized for visual comparison.
• We aim for useful and consistent comparisons, but we do not guarantee that every board is suitable for professional or regulated decision-making.

10. Service availability and changes

We may update, improve, limit, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We are not liable for downtime, service interruptions, or feature changes except as required by applicable law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, HowHeight and its providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost business, or interruption of use arising from your use of the service.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, the updated version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
