Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how HowHeight collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the visual height comparison tool, save boards, share links, create an account, or subscribe to a paid plan.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the HowHeight website, comparison board, saved boards, share pages, blog, pricing pages, customer support, and related communications. By using HowHeight, you agree that we may process information as described here.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and sign-in information. If you sign in with email or Google, we may store your email address, account ID, profile image, and the minimum data required to authenticate and keep your session active.
  • Comparison content. We store the board data you create, such as subject names, measurements, colors, reference lines, backgrounds, saved boards, and shareable board states.
  • Billing and subscription information. Paid plans are processed through Creem. We may receive limited billing metadata such as subscription status, plan identifiers, invoice references, and customer email, but we do not store full payment card details.
  • Support and conversion requests. If you send us support messages or limited custom asset conversion requests, we may store your messages, attachments, and the materials you provide so we can respond.
  • Usage, device, and diagnostic data. We may collect IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, interaction events, approximate location, and error data to operate and improve the service.

3. How we use information

  • Provide the comparison tool, saved boards, exports, and share pages.
  • Authenticate accounts and keep your session secure.
  • Operate subscriptions, billing, invoices, and plan access.
  • Send transactional emails such as verification codes, sign-in links, and account notices.
  • Measure performance, improve usability, and diagnose bugs.
  • Detect abuse, fraud, scraping, and security incidents.
  • Show and measure advertising, including Google advertising products, when enabled.

4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

HowHeight may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to remember settings, keep you signed in, measure product usage, and support advertising and conversion tracking.

  • Google Analytics. We may use Google Analytics to understand site traffic, feature usage, and product performance.
  • Google Ads and Google AdSense. We may use Google advertising products to measure campaigns and display ads, including personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your settings, consent, and location.
  • Consent. Where required, we will request consent before using non-essential analytics or advertising storage.

5. Public sharing and saved boards

Saved boards tied to your account are private by default inside your account area. Share links are meant to be opened by other people, so any board you choose to share should be treated as intentionally disclosed by you. Please avoid placing sensitive personal information inside board names or comparison labels.

6. Service providers

We work with service providers that process information on our behalf, including identity/authentication services, hosting and storage providers, Creem for billing and subscription handling, Resend for email delivery, and Google products for analytics and advertising. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their services.

7. Data retention

We keep account and subscription data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Saved boards and support records may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion. Aggregated or de-identified analytics may be kept longer for reporting and product improvement.

8. Your choices and rights

  • You can edit or remove saved boards inside your account.
  • You can stop using a share link by deleting or replacing the shared board.
  • You can cancel a paid subscription through the Creem billing flow or customer portal.
  • You can disable certain cookies where we provide consent controls.
  • Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information that we hold.

9. International use

HowHeight may operate through providers located in multiple countries. By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed in jurisdictions outside your home country, subject to appropriate safeguards where required.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the product, integrations, and legal requirements evolve. The updated version will be posted on this page with the revised effective date.

11. Contact

If you have privacy or data questions, please use the support or billing contact details available through the website or your Creem billing emails. You can also return to the main site to continue using the tool.
